4-H GUARDIANS OF THE PLANET MEETING
Thursday, July 18, 2019 • 6:30PM
LOCATION: AREC, 1444 Diamond Springs Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23455

McDonald Garden Center is a sponsor of a Virginia Beach 4-H Club, focusing on horticulture. The club is led by McDonald Garden Center owner and horticulturist, Eddie Anderson.

4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills. The four-H's stand for: Head, Heart, Hands and Health. They represent the four points of the 4-H pledge: clearer thinking, greater loyalty, larger service, and better living.

4-H is the youth development program of the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service, an off-campus program, conducted by Virginia Tech and Virginia State Universities. It is an informal, hands-on education approach focusing on building lifelong learning skills that develop youths’ potential. These are "learn-by-doing" programs for youth ages 7-18.

Joining 4-H is FREE, however, some activities may have minimal costs associated with them. If you are interested in joining or need more information, please email Sarah Farley, 4-H Extension Agent, at sfarley@vbgov.com
